6 Reasons NOT To Be Ashamed Of Your E-cig Habit

If you vape, then you probably know that E-cigs are very different from traditional cigarettes. You probably know this because you used to smoke. And if you used to smoke, then you probably know what kind of stigma smokers can face. You also probably know that vapers can face very similar negativity. Maybe you get dirty looks from people who see you vaping, or maybe family members give you a hard time about it.

Either way, these types of things can lead to you feeling ashamed of your habit—but in this blog post we are going to give you 6 good reasons NOT to feel that way.

The truth is that not vaping is healthier for you than vaping—but it is also true that smoking is very difficult to quit. Nicotine addiction is no joke. Anyone who had ever smoked can tell you that it is a difficult habit to kick. Those who have tried alternatives can also tell you that the patch and the gum just don’t always do the trick.

E-cigs, on the other hand, are different. It is true that vaping is not as healthy as breathing clean air, but it is also true that E-cigs are much safer than traditional cigarettes. Switching to E-cigs is a very positive thing, and here are 6 good reasons for believing so.

E-cigs are not just healthier and safer for you. They are also cleaner for those around you as well. Some people still don’t want secondhand vape around them, but by not smoking cigarettes you are really doing the rest of the world a favor.

Your significant other might really appreciate you switching to E-cigs, as they will do away with that icky smoke smell. You will smell better, have fresher breath, and will even have better teeth. While it is true that you can smell the vapour a little bit if you are close enough, the odour is much less invasive and does not stick to clothing or furniture.


Because you care enough about yourself to have switched to them in the first place

If people start to down you for vaping, remind yourself that you switched to E-cigs because you are trying to be an all-around better person. You want to look better, feel better, and be a healthier contributor to your world. By switching, you have gotten rid of a very dangerous habit and have traded it for something much, much safer.

Are E-cigs perfect? No. But neither are we. The truth is that smokers are addicted to nicotine. Even if you are not addicted to nicotine, you might not be at a point in your life where you are ready to give up the habit altogether. E-cigs can offer you a safer alternative so that you can quit on your terms. You can scale down your nicotine intake on your time, yet escape the dangers of tobacco use in the meantime.

You deserve some credit. Don’t be ashamed of your habit. You can try to quit it if you can, and it will be much easier than trying to quit cigarettes—but even if you don’t succeed right away, you are still doing your best to make the world a better place by vaping instead of smoking.
