Quick Intro

The NEO Endeavor Vape Kit, by Apollo, is the latest in their Endeavor Series – which is an award-winning series of vape pens that they’ve been releasing over time.

The NEO is a sub-ohm capable vaping pen that comes with a refillable 2.0ml tank.

It also comes in 4 different colors, which is pretty cool.

But is it worth the £27.95 selling price? Here’s what you need to know about Apollo’s Neo Endeavor vaping device.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • They offer a 30 day money back guarantee on their products
  • The company offers free shipping on orders totaling more than £30
  • Offers a super-fast plug-and-play style sub-ohm vaping experience for beginners
  • Great design… feels great and vapes great
  • Produces pretty good clouds for being a smaller pen
  • Very affordable and easy to use

Cons

  • 650mAh is a bit small for a sub-ohm device battery
  • The airflow holes are not adjustable – though this isn’t much of a problem with this device
  • The bottom-fill design takes a bit longer than trendy top-fill tanks – but it still works

What’s in the starter kit?

Here’s a quick rundown of what you get in the box…

  • A spare coil/atomizer
  • The Vape Pen itself
  • An instruction booklet (which is very nicely laid out)
  • A micro-USB charging cable

Specifications

The box is quite long, but it’s good looking. It’s varnished, with a life-sized print of the mod on the front. There’s also a rundown of the specs on the back, which is pretty cool. It comes in 4 colors, but we got the white version – which looked really nice.

It’s really a beautiful-looking pen. It’s not pure white – but rather, it has a pearlescent-type look to it, which is super pretty.

The battery in this pen is rated at 650mAh. So, it’s not the biggest battery, but the pen also comes with a pass-through charging option, which is certainly a good thing. We were honestly a bit surprised that they only included a 650mAh battery on this device.

They advertise it as a sub-ohm device, and as such, it’s certainly going to use up some battery power. By our calculations, you’ll need to charge it on a daily basis if you plan on vaping all day – and heavy vapers might even need to charge it part-way through the day.

650mAh is certainly on the low side for sub-ohm vaping… but we were happy to see a pass through charging option on it as well. This helps to minimize the odds of running out of battery power and being without your pen.

The drip tip was metal, and had a nice o-ring on it to help seal it up.

Breaking the device down was pretty easy. We did notice that the charge-port was located on the bottom of the battery, which honestly isn’t the best place for it as this keeps you from being able to stand the pen upright while it’s charging.

But then again, this wasn’t the worst problem either – as this type of pen really tends not to leak too badly if you set it on its side. Plus, it’s quite thin – and wouldn’t have stood up very well on its base anyway.

We liked how the tank broke down. Changing the coil is super easy. It comes with two 0.5 ohm coils right from the get-go, which was nice to see.

The base of the tank also has some airflow holes, though they aren’t variable. But still, they seem to do a good job, and we were glad that they were included.

The tank is easy to fill, and doesn’t really break down any more than removing the base and the coil. We were also a bit disappointed to see that this isn’t a top-fill design. It doesn’t make a huge difference, but top-fill devices are what seems to be in right now – so it might have been nice to see that trend incorporated into this pen.

But still, filling it from the bottom, while perhaps a little bit more labor-intensive, wasn’t such a big problem.

We were super interested in seeing what kind of vapour and flavour this thing could put out – so next, we got right to the vaping test.

Product Specs:

  • Ships with a 0.5 Ohm coil
  • 0ml tank capacity
  • Micro-USB cord for charging
  • Dimensions: 5.5” length, 0.6” diameter
  • 650mAh battery
  • 2V max voltage, non-adjustable
  • Pass-through charging mode
  • To lock, unlock, press firing button five times in rapid succession

What did we think of this kit?

We had a difficult time finding out what wattage this pen runs at on the packaging – but we do know that it’s a 650mAh battery, that it runs at a power of 4.2V, and that it comes with a 0.5 Ohm coil pre-installed… so this is what we tested it at.

Keep in mind that you can’t adjust the voltage on this device… it’s a pretty simple plug-and-play style pen.

We chose to use the Apollo Smoozie Maui Waui E-liquid flavour for the vape test. It’s a max VG E-liquid that we got from Apollo, and we were super-excited to taste this one, as it is one of many that Apollo has graciously sent through to us.

After we filled it with E-liquid for the first time, we let it sit for 10 minutes (as per the instructions) so that the wick had some time to absorb some of the juice.

One thing that we noticed was that this pen was truly very simple to use. It wasn’t difficult to learn in any sense of the word – so it would make a perfect option for a new vaper (especially one interested in sub-ohm vaping) who doesn’t want to learn how to change a bunch of settings right away.

Once we finally got to the vape test, we were very pleasantly surprised by the taste. This flavour was awesome, and the pen did an excellent job of making it work. There was actually plenty of vapour, despite our concerns about the small battery – which is very good.

There obviously isn’t quite as much vapour here as you would expect from a mod that’s a lot bigger – but this is a much smaller pen, and for its size, we were quite impressed with how it performed.

It’s a great portable device, and a fantastic option for beginners. It’s solid, looks nice, and performs very well. If you’re interested in a vape pen that will allow you to get started easily, then this one might be for you!

Appearance and Feel

As far as appearances go, the pen is really pretty. The white finish looks strong and sturdy, and the bits of stainless on it really help to accent the look. We also really liked the feel of the device in-hand. It was long enough to get a firm grip on, but it was also lightweight.

  • Airflow

There were several air-holes in this vape pen – and while they weren’t adjustable, they still did a good job.

  • Material

This device seemed to be mostly made from metal and glass. It seemed pretty sturdy to us – so kudos to Apollo for that.

  • Ease of Use

It doesn’t get much easier than this. You pretty much just unbox it, plug in, fill it, and vape.

Highlights

The best thing about this vape pen is that it’s super, super easy to use.

Drawbacks

The main drawback to the pen is probably the smaller battery size.
