Aspire Atlantis Sub Ohm Tank Review
You’ll get massive, massive clouds while sub ohm vaping with this tank.
Aspire Atlantis Sub Ohm Tank Review
This is our review of the Aspire Atlantis sub ohm tank. Now, just to be clear, Aspire has actually come out with a few newer versions of this tank – but that doesn’t mean that this is old technology, by any means! This tank is still just as relevant today as it was when it was first produced – and we were definitely looking forward to giving it a try!
But first – a little bit of history. You might be interested to know that this… the original Aspire Atlantis, was the tank that started the sub ohm movement. This tank was the first of its kind. It introduced the world to sub ohm vaping, and changed the vaping scene forever as a result.
There have been a lot of other sub ohm tanks built since this revolutionary piece of gear hit the scene – but even so, it remains a competitive product and a steady fixture in vaping culture. Sub ohm vapers are still buying and using this tank – just because it’s still considered an awesome piece of tech for the money!
Pros and Cons
Here are the basic pros and cons that we discovered while researching this tank.
- It’s extremely well made – from stainless steel and Pyrex
- It works very, very well
- If you want massive clouds of vapor, this tank will do the trick
- It produces an amazing flavor and a very satisfying vape
- It was really the first sub ohm tank on the market – and it’s still awesome
- One downside to this tank might be its smaller 2ml capacity. 2ml is enough for sub ohm vaping – but newer Aspire tanks have more room, which is nice.
- It can sometimes be easy to drip E-liquid down into the center hole while you’re filling it – though this isn’t necessarily that big of a downside. It just requires a steady hand and some extra attention to detail.

What’s in the starter kit?
The tank comes pre-assembled with all of the parts you’ll need to put it to use. Of course, you’ll need a vape pen/battery to make it work – but the tank itself comes pretty much ready to go right out of the box.
You also get a spare Pyrex glass tank and a spare atomizer – which is awesome. Most tanks don’t come with a spare glass tank, so to see such an accessory provided with the Aspire Atlantis was impressive.
The drip tip is pretty long on this tank – which is nice. It also has a contoured edge – which makes it easy on the mouth.
Overall, the parts on this product are machined to perfection. They fit together exceptionally well – so you shouldn’t have to deal with any rattling or loosening at all. This tank is also made from solid stainless steel – meaning that this is an investment that’s going to last you a lifetime with care and maintenance.
The tank capacity is 2ml – which is fine, though newer tanks do have more room. One thing that’s important to keep in mind is that you should never over-tighten any of the parts on a tank like this – as doing so could damage the components or seals, resulting in leaks or possible problems with the tank itself.
What we think of this Tank?
To be quite honest, we loved pretty much everything about the Aspire Atlantis Sub Ohm Tank. The build quality was excellent, the vapor production was amazing, and the flavor quality was incredible. It’s also very well-sealed – which makes a big difference.
Leaky sub-ohm tanks are problematic, and can greatly hinder the experience. We were really pleased, then, to see that Aspire had gone to such great lengths to keep the Atlantis from leaking.
As far as value is concerned, the Aspire Atlantis doesn’t disappoint. Not only is this tank, on its own, worth the cost – it also comes with an extra coil and an extra Pyrex glass tank replacement – which is awesome. There’s no doubt about the fact that you’re getting your money’s worth with the Atlantis. In fact, it’s gotten cheaper as Aspire has released newer tanks in the series – making it one of the more affordable sub ohm tanks on the market right now.
If you’re in the market for a sub ohm tank, but don’t want to drop a ton of money for one until you’ve tried it – then I would enthusiastically recommend that you order the Atlantis. This is also an awesome tank for anyone who wants to try sub ohm vaping for the first time, mostly because it’s simple and easy to use.
Appearance and Feel
The tank comes in clear packaging that makes it easy to see exactly what you’re getting. Our initial impression of the overall presentation of the product was very good. The tank itself is also very attractive. The stainless steel and Pyrex glass give it a very solid, fashionable, modern look that’s sure to turn heads if you take it out with you (and if its looks don’t turn heads, don’t worry – the massive vapor clouds will).
Instructions for use
Before using this sub ohm tank, it’s incredibly important to let it sit for about five minutes after filling it with E-liquid so that the wick can become completely saturated before firing. It’s also important not to let it run out of E-liquid during use.
You can find instructions for how to fill the tank on the Aspire website, or simply watch our video review – but try not to overfill it! It’s actually pretty easy to accidentally drip E-liquid into the wrong place on the Atlantis, especially if you’re using a dripper that’s a bit thicker on the end – so make sure to exercise caution whenever you’re filling it up.
The Aspire Atlantis has a pretty decent airflow adjustment controller, located on the bottom of the tank. It has four different settings – giving you quite a bit of control over your vape.
Most of this tank is made from solid stainless steel. The glass is actually Pyrex, and the wick is cotton. There are also a number of rubber/silicon seals installed at different points on the tank – which help to eliminate drips and leaks.
- Ease of Use
Taking the tank apart for cleaning or maintenance is actually pretty easy. You just screw it apart and take off the pieces, one by one. Getting it back together again really isn’t a problem at all. One thing that is important is that you need to know what wattage to use while vaping – which can be determined by examining the specs on your coil. The coils that come with the tank require 20 to 30 Watts to fire correctly.
The clouds that you get when using this tank with a box mod that can handle the wattage needs are unbelievable. You’ll get massive, massive clouds while sub ohm vaping with this tank.
The flavor is also awesome – though this, of course, will also depend on your E-liquid. You’ll want to use a liquid that contains more VG than PG, and you’ll also want to make sure to use a lower concentration of nicotine – just because you’ll pull in so much more vapor while sub ohm vaping than you would through traditional vaping.
But still – with that being said – the flavor quality that you can achieve with this tank is nothing short of impressive!
If we had to point out a drawback for this product, it would probably be the smaller 2ml tank size – though to be honest, this isn’t much of a drawback. 2ml is plenty of tank space for sub ohm vaping. But newer tanks that provide a bit more room are really nice – so it’s a bit of a trade-off for the lower cost and the fact that this tank is a bit older.
