Everything You Need to Know About Ego Aio Coils
The first question you probably have about the Ego AIO Coils is what exactly is the Ego AIO? That’s a valid question and one definitely worth asking.
First things first the Ego AIO is a vape that is manufactured by Joyetech. It’s a great device that is perfect for first-time vapers and the AIO in the name stands for All In One.
So what else does it offer? It offers the usual entry level vape features. You can charge on the go, you can use it for mouth to lung or direct to lung and has a 2ml tank. This means that it is ready to go from the off and it manages to comply with TPD regulations.
It’s relatively cheap and is great for people to get into vaping, especially when they are trying to quit smoking. The low price combined with the ease of use means that it is often a go-to product for first-time vapers.
What about the coils that the Ego AIO allows you to use though? What is there on offer and what differences do the coils make?
The Ego Aio Coils
What coils can be used with the Ego AIO? The standard coil that is provided with the Ego AIO is a 0.6ohm which provides a direct to lung vaping experience. This is a different experience to smoking as when smoking you usually take the smoke into your mouth first before taking it into your lungs.
It may take a little getting used to at first as it is different, but after a while, it will become second nature. Direct to lung coils are usually good for when you want to use a thicker e-liquid. Of course, this also allows for creating bigger clouds of vapour as well due to the increased airflow.
The Ego AIO doesn’t just allow for the use of a 0.6ohm coil when it comes to sub-ohm vaping, it can also accommodate a 0.5ohm coil. They’re not the only choices you have though.
Because the Ego AIO is marketed as a beginner vape, it also gives the users the ability to use coils that provide a mouth to lung vaping experience.
This will provide a smaller cloud than the direct to lung sub ohm coils due to the restricted airflow. The higher the ohms of the coil, the more restricted the airflow. The coils that provide a mouth to lung experience are usually the coils that beginner vapers prefer, this is due to the vaping experience being close to the experience of smoking.
The Ego AIO allows for a 1.0ohm coil and a 1.5ohm coil to be used with it. As the Ego AIO comes with a sub-ohm coil the performance is superior when using the sub ohm coils, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t provide a perfectly serviceable experience with the 1.0ohm and 1.5ohm coils.
If you’re using a thicker e-liquid it is advisable to stick to the sub ohm coils though.
Which is the best coil to use? That all comes down to personal preference, but in this case, unless you really can’t get the hang of the direct to lung vaping then it is better to stick to the sub-ohm coils.
That’s because the Ego AIO was designed to use these coils and performs better with them.
The direct to lung vaping experience does take a little getting used to, but those awesome clouds you can make do make up for the steep learning curve.
Another important thing to remember about the coils for the Ego AIO is that they are all bottom feed coils. These are usually favoured by more experienced vapers but it’s nothing to worry about if you’re a beginner.
How Long Do The Coils Last?
The coil lifespan in most vapes is usually 2 to 3 weeks when you first start vaping. As you get more used to the way it works and begin to use your vape more often then the lifespan will fall to 1 to 2 weeks. There are ways to increase the lifespan of your coils as well as shorten it.
Increasing Lifespan of Ego AIO Coils
To increase the lifespan of your coils it is best to avoid thicker, sticky e-liquids. Due to the small size of the coils in the Ego AIO they can get blocked up with gunk quite easily.
Avoiding the stickier e-liquids will reduce the probability of this happening. You can also take out your coils and clean them in order to increase the lifespan.
You can use warm water or even some kind of solvent to soak them to remove any excess e-liquid that is blocking up the coil. This will allow your coils to last up to twice as long, although it may be a lengthy process when compared to just changing out the coil for a new one.
Decreasing Lifespan of Ego AIO Coils
As previously mentioned, using thicker, stickier e-liquids will decrease the lifespan of your coils, but in addition to this another way to decrease the lifespan is to take dry hits on your coil. This will cause them to burn out a lot quicker.
All you need to do to avoid this is to drop a few drops of e-liquid onto your coil before you start using it. Simple and saves you getting a bad taste when you try to vape.
The Ego AIO has a number of ways you can alter the coil performance, but the main one that it includes is the ability to manually increase or decrease the airflow. This means that even with a direct to lung sub ohm coil you can restrict the airflow to decrease the size of the vapour clouds you create.
The Ego AIO coils are incredibly versatile for a beginner vape and as an all in one device it allows new vapers to start right away and customise their experience exactly to their tastes.
