Epuffer Titan Hybrid Vapourizer Review
EPuffer is one of our favourite e-cig companies, and for good reason. Not only do they offer a pretty good selection of products and E-liquids, but their electronic cigarettes are also high in quality – enough so that they never cease to impress as far as we are generally concerned.
They also offer free shipping in the UK on all orders totaling over £25.00, and even provide a 30 day money back guarantee on their products – both of which are really awesome incentives.
But what about the Titan Hybrid itself? This is a relatively new product, and it’s been getting a bit of attention on the blogosphere – so we decided that it was time to take a look at it.
So here you go – here’s our take on the Titan Hybrid – both the good and the bad.
Pros and Cons
Here are the basic pros and cons that we discovered over the course of our research…
- It’s well made and well-built
- The tank capacity is pretty big at 3ml
- It comes with two atomizers – a 1.0 ohm and a 0.5 ohm
- You can use it to sub ohm vape, which is very cool
- It comes with two different drip tips
- The battery is a bit on the small side, which leaves you with limited battery life in sub ohm mode
- The ‘Hybrid’ technology jargon on the website is true – but it maybe makes less of a difference than it would seem. Switching out the coils and the drip tips is really the only thing that makes it a hybrid – which is nice, but not necessarily an incredibly unique idea

What’s in the starter kit?
This kit comes with a small instruction booklet (which was pretty basic, but well done), a micro USB charging lead (with a full-sized USB plug on one end and a micro-USB on the other), an extra drip tip, and an extra coil. And of course, you also get the device itself – which consists of one drip tip, one liquamizer, one battery, and one coil.[print_responsive_slider_plus_lightbox id=”42″]
The tank has a clear window, which allows you to see the inside and how much E-liquid is left in it. The battery is very small. We were actually quite surprised by how compact it is!
The firing button clicks when you press it, and seems to work well. The battery is rated at 1100mAh, which doesn’t sound like a lot for a device like this – but it actually does a pretty good job, mostly because of its compact size. You can actually get a full day’s worth of vaping out of it before you’ll need to charge it (as long as you’re not literally chain-vaping the entire time), which is good.
There’s a small LED that glows red while the device is charging, but it’ll turn off once the battery is fully charged. It’s supposed to take about 3 hours to charge it completely, and you’re actually supposed to give it a thorough charge right out of the box before using it the first time (though we sort of cheated and didn’t!).
The tank itself looks lovely. The glass seems to be Pyrex, and it’s encased in a steel container. You get two drip tips with this tank. One is a wide flow and one is a narrow flow. The wide bore tip is stainless, and the narrow tip is made from a plastic-like material. This kit also comes with two different coils. One is a 0.5 ohm coil, which is designed to go with the wide-bore drip tip. This essentially gives you your straight-to-lung vaping setup, which is a sub ohm setup and basically one part of the two parts that make this device a ‘hybrid’.
The second setup includes the narrow-bore drip tip and the 1.0 ohm coil, which is more of a mouth-to-lung, or regular vape pen setup.
One awesome thing about this vape pen is that it will calculate the wattages and voltages for you automatically, based on which coil you have plugged in. This takes away from your ability to decide on your own wattage, but it helps to make the entire process less complicated.
The coils are pretty easy to change in this tank. You pretty much just need to remove the bottom part, which is the part that includes the variable airflow ring, and unscrew the old one and screw the new one back in.
Refilling this tank is actually a bit different from the norm. There are several holes along the side when you remove the drip-tip, and you can refill it by dripping the E-liquid into any of these holes. You still don’t want to drip it down the center – but since it’s a top-fill design, you won’t have any wasted room in your tank, which is awesome.

- Kit includes a micro USB charging cable
- 3ml tank capacity
- Device dimensions: 19mm diameter, 122mm length

- Being a ‘hybrid’ device, this vape pen can function as a box mod or a vape pen
What did we think of this device?
For the vape test, we used a 50/50 PG/VG blend E-liquid. Once the device is assembled, it really looks lovely… especially when it’s been filled with E-liquid.
Our first vape test was conducted with the 0.5 ohm coil and the wide-bore drip tip, with the airflow control fully open. We got plenty of vapour with it, and we really liked the flavour it produced as well. It pops quite a bit, but we didn’t mind, as this shows that it’s producing plenty of power. Overall, we really liked the device set up this way.
The next vape test was conducted with the 1.0 ohm coil installed with the narrow-bore drip tip. Once again, we left the airflow controller completely open. Set up like this, the device still produced quite a bit of flavour – but what really surprised us about this setup was how much vapour it still produced. We were expecting a big reduction in vapour with the 1.0 ohm coil – but were pleasantly surprised to find that it still produced a healthy amount.
In all honesty, this is a pretty impressive kit, overall. We tend to like the sub ohm setup a bit better, but were still impressed with the regular vape pen mode. Honestly, the battery would last a lot longer on the 1.0 ohm coil – so there are definitely benefits to having the ‘hybrid’ technology, even if you don’t feel that you would use the 1.0 ohm coil as much.
In the end, we chose to give it two thumbs up, and would certainly recommend it to any vaper looking for a dual-purpose device that delivers quality for the price.
Appearance and Feel
The box that it comes in is plastic, and contains a spec rundown on the back. The front of the packaging is transparent, allowing you to see the device inside pretty well. To be honest, our first impression of this product, from the very beginning, was that it looked a lot like the Kimsun STL Wolf. The packaging was even similar.
Once you open up the packaging, the overall feel of the device is pretty nice. It was quite short, really. In fact, if you put your hand around it, most of it will be hidden. For how much power it kicks out, it’s quite compact. The firing button was nice, and not overdone. It was small, but functional.
The Titan Hybrid has a variable airflow ring installed between the battery and the tank, which allows you a lot of room to set the airflow as you like it. As far as an airflow control goes, this one seemed pretty nice to us. There is also a small hole in the bottom of the battery to allow better airflow inside of it, to help keep it cool during use.
This vape pen is made mostly of glass (we assume it’s Pyrex glass) and stainless steel. It also contains 100% organic cotton wicks. All in all, we found that the construction was quite solid. We felt that they did a good job putting it together.
- Ease of Use
This device could probably be classified as ‘intermediate’ in terms of ease of use. Changing the coils and refilling it will require a bit of research and practice – but you don’t really need any electronics knowledge because it’s not technically a variable wattage device. The settings change themselves when you insert a new coil, which makes the process pretty easy, to be honest.
If you’re new to vaping, then there will be a bit of a learning curve – but really, in all honestly, this is a pretty simple vape pen to use.
The main upside to the Titan Hybrid is (in our opinion) the fact that it self-adjusts to the installed coil. Granted, this could be seen as a downside in the sense that it takes away from allowing you to adjust it manually – but it also makes the product more user-friendly and takes away some of the learning curve for new vapers.
The main drawback to this vape pen is probably the fact that the battery is rather small. This is nice in a way – but it does limit the battery life, especially when you use the sub ohm coil.

Additional recommended products from this company
ePuffer says that the Titan Hybrid will work with a 0.2 ohm coil as well – and we certainly wouldn’t mind getting our hands on one to give it a try! The only problem is that they don’t stock them yet, as this pen is pretty much brand new. But this is probably something to keep your eye out for, as it will probably be out soon, and will greatly increase the vapour production capabilities of the product.
