Introduction – Escape Vapourettes Review

Escape Vapourettes is a company that sells electronic cigarettes and accessories for them. They also host a blog and do quite a bit of social media networking, though they seem to be pretty new to the scene from the looks of it.

After doing a bit of research about them, I will admit that I was a little bit skeptical. I was really not able to find any reviews for their products online, though I did hear some rumors on the forums that their website had not been getting good search engine results due to some duplicate content issues.

This sort of thing does happen sometimes. In fact, Escape Vapourettes might not be experiencing anything that other E-cig companies have not experienced. The fact that rumors were going around doesn’t necessarily mean that it was true either.

Still, it was strange that we had a very difficult time tracking down anything about this company. This in itself was a bit of a negative as far as I was concerned, as I feel a lot better about potential E-cig products when there is a bit more ‘hype’ about them—though everyone has to start somewhere. Escape Vapourettes has not had their website up for very long from the looks of it, so maybe they are working on getting more products into their customers’ hands.

Their website is actually pretty good looking. There are a few tabs along the top that will take you to starter kits, refill cartridges, accessories, reviews, FAQs, their blog, an ‘about us’ section, and a ‘contact us’ page. There are a few reviews posted to their site, though it is a bit unclear as to whether they are legitimate reviews or just reviews posted by the company.

I should note that I hate being pessimistic like this—but when you hear rumors and look at the content and it doesn’t look all that original, it becomes a bit hard to believe that everything is as it seems.

Of course, I really have no way of knowing. There is a possibility that all of their reviews are legitimate. My guess would be that they are there to make the site look more visited, but that is, in all fairness, just a guess.

Positives and Negatives

Here are the basic initial positives and negatives of Escape Vapourettes Products

  • The website is nice, organized, and attractive
  • They offer some pretty affordable starter kits
  • They offer a 30 day ‘no questions asked’ money back guarantee
  • They have a free delivery option on orders totaling more than £40

  • The company is new and unproven
  • There are not really any customer reviews out there
  • Facebook page seems a bit ‘dead’. There isn’t really any traffic on it to speak of from what we could see
  • Some of the reviews on the website sounded a little on the ‘fake side’ to us

What products/accessories can be purchased?

Escape Vapourettes offers several different starter kit options, some of which are actually very affordable. Here is a quick breakdown of the different starter kits that they currently have available.

  • Classic Starter Kit

This kit comes with a storage pack, a USB battery charger, a rechargeable battery, and 3 18mg refill cartridges. It’s priced at £9.95, making it their most affordable kit and a good option if you want to give their products a try.

  • Options Starter Kit

This kit comes with a storage case, a USB battery charger, a car charger, a mains charger, 2 rechargeable batteries, and 8 refill cartridges. It is priced at £29.95.

  • Extra Value Starter Kit

This kit comes with a storage case, a USB charger, a car charger, a mains charger, 2 batteries, 4 5-packs of cartridges, and 3 additional cartridges. It sells for £49.94. (This also means that it qualifies for free shipping—which is always a good thing!)

  •  Executive Starter Kit

This kit is the cheapest Escape Vapourette’s kit to come with a charging case. It also comes with a USB case charger, a mains charger, 2 rechargeable batteries, and 2 5-packs of refill cartridges.

  •  Premium Starter Kit

This kit comes with a charging case, a USB charger, a car charger, a mains charger, 2 batteries, and 3 packs of refill cartridges. It also qualifies for free shipping. It’s priced at £59.95.

  •  Professional Starter Kit

This is Escape’s biggest starter kit. It comes with everything that is included in the premium starter kit, though it also comes with a USB case charger, another battery, and one more 5-pack of refill cartridges. It’s priced at £69.95.

Package and design

We found the packaging on these products to be pretty standard. There was really nothing incredible to report about in this area.

As far as design was concerned, we did like the look of the products. All of the E-cigs offered on the site are minis, but they look realistic and clean. The charging cases are a modern blue color with the brand name printed in white.

All in all, we liked how the products looked and didn’t really find anything to complain about.

User Reviews

Unfortunately, this is where things started to get more difficult. We didn’t have any luck finding user reviews online, though there were some posted on the website. To us, the reviews on the website (at least most of them) seemed a bit ‘staged’, though there is no way to know for sure. At the very least, there are not very many and they don’t really tell us much about the quality of the products aside from the fact that they are worth the money and that customers are generally happy with them.

Product Choice

The product choice was a bit un-varied on Escape Vapourette’s website. It would have been nice to see a few E-gos or disposables offered, though it is understandable that some companies choose to remain in the minis/starter-kit market. If you are an ex-smoker looking for something realistic, then this would be an ideal site to check out.

This company carries eight different E-cig flavour options… Bold Tobacco, Smooth Tobacco, Virginia Tobacco, Menthol, Coffee, Apple, Cherry, and Vanilla. These are all sold as refill cartridges. It doesn’t look like this company offers bottles of E-liquid at all. If you want to buy refills, they are going to have to be in cartridge-form.

Nicotine levels

Escape offers 5 basic nicotine strengths; Zero 0mg, Low 6mg, Regular 12mg, High 18mg, and Extra High 24mg.

About the company

According to the website, Escape Vapourettes offers “a safer and cheaper alternative to smoking tobacco.” The company’s main selling points are that they are reliable, that they offer you a variety of choices, that they can be trusted, and that they offer excellent customer service.

According to their Facebook page, the company itself is located at Springfield Estate, Bristol Road, GL2 7ND Gloucester, Gloucestershire.

We were, unfortunately, not able to find out anything else about the company’s history through their official website.

Escape has a phone number on their website that customers can use to call with questions, comments, or to place orders. They also maintain an e-contact form that customers can use to send them a written message.
Escape Vapourettes offers free shipping on orders totaling more than £40.00 within the UK. They also offer same-day dispatch on orders placed before 3:00pm.
Escape offers a 30 day money back guarantee on their starter kits. This even applies to kits that have been opened and used—which is a much better guarantee than most E-cig companies offer. Escape Vapourette definitely deserves kudos in this department for going above and beyond where money-back guarantees are concerned.

They also offer a 12 month limited warranty on their charging cases and chargers.

Value for the money

Escape Vapourettes do seem to offer value for the money. Of course, they don’t offer anything that you can’t get with other companies, though they do offer a better money-back guarantee than most other E-cig retailers. They also offer a pretty inexpensive basic starter kit.

Running costs

One pack of 5 refill cartridges costs £8.95 when you buy them from this company. According to Escape, one refill cartridge is equal to about 20 tobacco cigarettes.

In the end, we really didn’t have a problem with Escape Vapourettes. You might be able to get the same thing (plus more flavour options) from other companies, but there really wasn’t anything glaring that stuck out as a huge negative. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t find more information on the company.

We were also disappointed that we couldn’t find more customer reviews, though this is a pretty new business. Maybe in the near future they will start to make some bigger ‘waves’ on the online review scene.

If you are looking for a relatively cost-effective option that will provide you with realistic flavours and the feel of a real tobacco cigarette, then Escape Vapourettes might be a good choice for you.
