Jac Vapour V1P+ Pro Review

Quick Intro

The Jac Vapour V1P+ Pro starter kit looks like a fantastic option for people new to vaping, especially if they’re just getting ready to leave tobacco cigarettes behind (or already have).

Jac Vapour offers a pretty full range of quality vaping products, so we were excited to get to review this kit, which is an older product of theirs.

We have already done a number of different reviews about JAC Vapour so if this is the brand you want to shop for, you’ll find a lot more reviews about it simply by searching for ”JAC Vapour” on our website.

Pros and Cons

Here are the basic pros and cons that we discovered over the course of our research…

  • The kit seems well-made and well-thought-out
  • Mechanically, everything fits and works together perfectly
  • The PCC contains a 2300mAh battery, which is pretty massive
  • The cig-a-likes are pretty life-like and do a good job of emulating real tobacco cigarettes

  • This kit costs a bit more than other cig-a-like kits on the market – though it makes up for it with super-high quality
  • You’re a bit limited in flavour options, as there are only so many different types of cartomisers that you can get for the V3 battery
  • The smaller batteries don’t allow for quite a full day of vaping for heavy vapers – but the portable charging case does a lot to help mitigate this downside

What’s in the starter kit?

The starter kit comes with all of the following…

  • A USB charger
  • A Portable Charging Case
  • A Charging Lead
  • 2 Batteries
  • 2 LED Tips for the batteries
  • 5 Cartomisers
  • 5 Mixed Coloured Bungs
  • You’ll also have the option of adding a Mains to USB charger for only £3.99 extra when you order the kit – which is pretty cool.

Information! Personally, I wish that they included a mains adapter for free – but I could also see how this probably helps to keep the kit more affordable.

This kit is basically an E-cig mini kit that comes with a portable charging case. That means that you have two different options for charging.

You can either plug-in the portable charging case via the enclosed USB/Micro USB lead and then charge your batteries within it, or you can use the enclosed USB charger to simply hook the batteries up to a USB port and charge them that way.

It was pretty nice to see two different charging options included in one kit. Not many kits come with both a PCC and a USB charger, so this was definitely a plus.

JAC V1p+ case

The quality of the portable charging case is very high. It’s made from metal, looks great, and seems to do a fantastic job. It also has an extra USB port built into it, which is awesome. With this, you can use a USB port to charge it without losing a port to charge something else, which is awesome.

The battery built into the portable charging case is a 2300mAh battery – which is actually really powerful. The case is capable of charging two Ecig batteries at a time – which is also very nice. The sliding mechanism on the case is also very well done.

The batteries are technically the Jac V3 batteries, and are rated at 180mAh. This sounds low – but since you’re getting a 2300mAh charging case and 2 batteries with the kit, this lower power rating really doesn’t mean much. Of course, a lower power rating isn’t as convenient – but the problems are really mitigated by how the kit is put together.

The batteries are quite slim and life-like. They weigh and feel very realistic. One pretty cool feature of these E-cigs is that you can change out the LEDs at the end of the battery to make them different colors – which is pretty cool.

The batteries come fully-charged when you purchase the kit. They also fit into the charging case very well, which does a great job of keeping them charged-up when not in use. There are also LED indicators on the case to let you know how charged up it is. Since the case contains such a powerful battery, you’ll be able to get quite a few battery charges out of one PCC charge.

The cartomisers are also very well-designed. They’re simple, effective, and contain plenty of liquid to get the job done. The kit itself comes with a pack of 5 mixed cartomisers, so you’ll get a mixture of tobacco and specialty flavours to get started with.

The screw-attachment mechanism on these batteries that keeps them connected to the cartomisers and charger is really well-made. Cheaper E-cigs often have lower-quality connections, but these connect very securely and seem to do a great job.

Once it’s all put together, the entire thing really feels a lot like a regular cigarette. It might be a bit heavier – but not much. One thing that you should be aware of is that it takes a few drags to get the flavour going really well – so don’t write off a flavour until you’ve vaped on it a few times. Once it hits, you’ll notice it – and from then on, the cartomiser will taste a lot better.

  • Comes with a charging case
  • Ships with 2 batteries
  • Comes with 2 charging options
  • Perfect for ex-smokers who want something simple and realistic
  • Equipped with a full range of safety features
  • Built from high-quality materials
The batteries that come with this kit are the V3 batteries, and they are only compatible with V3 cartomisers.

What we think of this Kit?

Overall, we were super-impressed with this kit. The fact that it ships with two batteries and a PCC is a huge upside. As far as the quality of vapour is concerned, the products themselves have a quick response time, a nice flavour, and produce enough vapour to get the job done. You won’t win any cloud chasing competitions with this device – but that’s also not really the point.

As a simple, yet well-crafted E-cig kit for beginners, you really can’t go wrong with the Jac Vapour V1P+ Pro Kit. We would definitely recommend that you buy the pro kit over the standard kit, however, as the standard kit only comes with 1 battery.

But in the end, kudos to Jac Vapour for another incredible product. If you’re in the market for a quality cig-alike kit and don’t want to waste your money on something that isn’t going to last, then this product should certainly be on your radar.

Appearance and Feel

Jac Vapour always does a great job with packaging, and this product is certainly no exception. The box is simple, but attractive. It’s made of sturdy cardboard, and comes with a list of specs printed on the back.

The feel

Once you open it up, you’ll see the contents of the kit arrayed neatly within the box. You also get a nice schematic layout of the kit contents and an instruction booklet, which is pretty awesome.

The E-cigs themselves feel pretty lifelike. They weigh about the same as a real cigarette, and do a good job as an alternative to traditional tobacco-filled cigarettes.

There are no settings or switches on this product. What you see is pretty much what you get. It doesn’t get much simpler than this.

  • Airflow

The airflow is pretty basic on these E-cigs. You can’t get a ton of air through it – but then again, it’s supposed to feel like a regular cigarette – and in that sense, the E-cigs do a pretty good job.

  • Material

These E-cigs are made from a blend of plastic and metals, and seem to be very well constructed. We really didn’t see any problems in this department.

  • Ease of Use

E-cigs don’t get much easier to use. You literally screw on a cartomiser and start vaping. Then, when the battery runs out, you charge it. That’s all there is to it.

The biggest highlight to this kit is probably the fact that you can use the case as a charger. When you’re out and about, you don’t always have access to a USB port – but the PCC that comes with the Jac Vapour V1P+ Pro really helps to mitigate this problem.

The biggest drawback to this kit is probably the fact that you are limited on flavour options. You can’t use E-liquid to refill these cartridges, so you’re going to be a bit stuck with the flavours made available for this specific product.
