Njoy Electronic Cigarette Review

Introduction – Njoy Electronic Cigarette Review

Njoy describe their electronic cigarette brand as the ‘Gold Standard’ of the industry. They are a trademarked company with an impressive presence in the United States and the United Kingdom… having sold over 10 million products to-date. They provide a realistic feel and flavour, though their products are tobacco and smoke free.

Individuals shopping for electronic cigarettes may very well find themselves on the Njoy website after typing ‘Ecig’ into the search engine… and they will find a helpful web presence and an online store that seems engaging and relevant to the product.

They will also be able to locate possible store locations (of which there are 70,000 in the US alone). They may also recognize Njoy for one of their television ads, most of which feature trendy music and catchy mottos aimed at presenting E-cigs as a trendier, safer, more responsible alternative to cigarettes.

Pros and Cons

Here are some immediate pros and cons that become obvious when inspecting Njoy products up-close.

  • Super-realistic feel and taste
  • High quality-components and packaging
  • Very easy to use (simply open, use, and return if you want to take part in the recycle program)
  • Good throat hit and flavour

  • Batteries don’t last as long as Njoy claims they do
  • Price-point is a bit high… especially for their disposable Kings
  • They don’t offer many options for starter kits
  • They don’t offer many flavour options

What products/accessories can be purchased?

When one first visits the official website, it would appear that the main product Njoy is marketing is the King. The King is by far the most hyped-up product on the website, though it is, surprisingly, a disposable. That being said, it is in fact a very popular disposable… though one that only comes in really two basic flavours. You get tobacco and menthol with this brand. They offer no specialty flavours of any kind. They do offer a rechargeable express kit that isn’t a bad deal (it comes with 1 electronic battery, 1 flavour cartridge, 1 USB charger, and a user guide), but it definitely isn’t the best-priced deal on the market either. They also sell individual rechargeable batteries, chargers, and packs of flavour cartridges.

Package and Design

Packaging on the Njoy products is actually pretty good. The disposable Kings come in tough plastic cases that open like zippo-lighters. These provide a very effective method for carrying the E-cigs, and could definitely be considered attractive.

Njoy E Cigarettes

The basic design of the product is also brilliant. They are perhaps the most realistic E-cig on the market today. They feature soft, paper-covered cartridges and glowing tips specifically colored to look like the end of a burning cigarette when being used.

Battery Performance

Unfortunately, most reviewers and users alike agree that the battery usage on the Njoy products is sadly lacking. Though Njoy claims that the batteries will last 1 to 3 days without a charge, most users and reviewers who are also moderate vapers would agree that somewhere around 5 hours is a more realistic expectation. People who vape the equivalent of more than a pack per day will definitely need to carry more than one battery around with them.

Vapour production

Vapour production is one area where Njoy seems to excel. Most users and reviewers agree that, while their batteries might not last very long, the flavour and the throat hit experienced during use are both phenomenal. Some have said that Njoy E-cigs genuinely taste like real cigarettes… or close enough, at least, to make it difficult to tell the difference between them.

Njoy only offers a few different flavours. They offer a traditional bold tobacco flavour, a traditional gold flavour, a menthol bold flavour, and a menthol gold. On one hand, Njoy gets kudos for providing realistic flavours that serious ex-tobacco users will love.

Njoy flavours

The fact that they don’t carry any specialty flavours, however, comes as a bit of a disappointment. It would have been great to see some cherry, watermelon, or other different flavours available on their website.

Nicotine Levels

Njoy offers three basic nicotine levels in their flavours, and they are available in both tobacco and menthol. These come in strengths of 0.6%, 1.2%, and 1.8%. For the record, it should be noted that the throat hit from these E-cigs is said to be very good, and comparable to that of traditional tobacco-filled cigarettes.

About The Company

Njoy is definitely a popular Electronic cigarette brand. As of late, they have adopted some bold, yet rather catchy mottos like ‘friends don’t let friends smoke’ and ‘cigarettes, you’ve met your match’. They are also one of the few E-cig companies to offer a recycling program. With this program, if you use up 8 Njoy Kings disposables, you can return them to be recycled and get one new Njoy King completely free.

Njoy is based on Scottsdale, Arizona… though they also have a headquarters in Europe. According to their website, they are a company dedicated to providing groundbreaking products and technology to vapers from all parts of Europe and the US. They seem to pride themselves on not only quality products and unique branding/marketing tactics, but also on their commitments to regulatory compliance and customer service.
Njoy does a pretty good job with customer service. They offer a toll free phone number on their website, an email contact form, and a customer service team who works 7 days a week, 24 hours per day to respond to calls and emails. Njoy states that customer service is one of their chief priorities, and it would definitely seem to be a true statement when you take into account that they run a 24-hour shift just to cover customer service issues. As a large company, Njoy is probably expected by its clientele to offer quality customer support… and they definitely don’t disappoint in this area.
Shipping varies by location and by country. The best place to find this information is on the official company website.
Njoy offers both a 30 day money back guarantee and a one year limited warranty. The 30 day money back guarantee is a fairly no-hassle ordeal. They will refund the entire purchase if you are not completely satisfied with the product. Njoy definitely gets kudos in this category.

Value for the money

In the end, Njoy offers some affordable products, though it is also very true that there are other E-cig companies out there that beat them in price. It is also true that their lack of specialty flavours might keep some customers from sticking with them long-term. On the other hand, however, Njoy does offer a very realistic E-cig product that former analog smokers will have an appreciation for. If realism is what you are looking for, then you are definitely going to find value for your money with Njoy.

Running costs

Running costs depend mostly upon what product you choose to use. In the long run, you are probably going to save the most money with a rechargeable model, despite the fact that Njoy seems to market their Kings disposables as their primary product. According to Njoy, one 5-pack of cartridges equals about one carton of regular cigarettes. These 5-packs cost about $21.99. Of course, some users have said that the cartridges actually don’t last that long, and that you will actually get less out of five cartridges than the equivalent of one carton.

Njoy offers a high-quality, realistic product for the money. They do a great job of advertising E-cigs as an alternative to traditional cigarettes, but they also have a few shortcomings… the major ones being a lack of specialty flavours, short battery life, and a very small array of products and kits. Their major product is the King, which is packaged and marketed brilliantly… though it probably can’t be said that it delivers the kind of bang for the buck that they make it out to offer, especially if you are buying them individually.

Once you start buying in larger quantities, however, the price does start to get a little better. Prices also improve significantly when you get into their rechargeable products, which does raise an interesting question… why don’t they focus more on their rechargeable products and less on the disposables?

They offer a great warranty, but it must also be stated once again, for the record, that most reviewers and users alike have loved the flavour and throat hit of Njoy E-cigs. They taste about as close to the real thing as it gets, and their realistic feel adds to this and will be especially appreciated by ex-analog smokers who are craving a familiar cigarette-like experience to take the place of their traditional tobacco-based product.

  1. Sally K says:

I’m in the UK and am a regular vaper. My charger broke so, while waiting for a replacement to arrive in the mail, I bought a single NJOY from a large supermarket. It cost £3.75 = $5.40 for one so I thought it should last a couple of days as I was not a heavy smoker & my vape cells last several days between charges. WRONG! In less than 3 hours it stopped working. I agree the product looks and feels realistic but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. THEY ARE A REAL RIP OFF. I probably only had 25 draws on the e-cig before it died, that means it costs around 22 cents per draw!
