OK Cigs Review
Introduction – OK Cigs Review
OK Cigs (not to be confused with OK E-cigs, which is actually a different company) is a UK based electronic cigarette manufacturer. When I first got word that I would be reviewing this company, I went ahead and checked out their official website – which I found to be stylish and functional. They offer a variety of different types of products, ranging from disposables, to starter kits, to E-liquid and accessories.
One of the first things I noticed about OK Cigs was that their offerings are simplistic and limited – though I don’t mean to say this in a negative way. In fact, I rather thought that they did a good job of offering some choices without overwhelming the customer with dozens of needless options, as I’ve seen some E-cig companies do in the past.
Another thing that I noticed right away is that OK Cigs seems to cater more to the new vaper than to the advanced vaper – mostly because their primary offering seems to be cig-a-like model E-cigs (they do carry an EVOD vape kit, however – which we were very happy to see). Cig-a-likes are basically E-cigs that are designed to look and feel just like real cigarettes – but is OK Cigs the ‘place to go’ when you need a new E-cig?
Here’s what I found out over the course of my research.
Positives and Negatives
Here are the basic pros and cons of OK Cigs.
- They offer quite a range of starter kit options
- They carry quite a few different flavours of E-liquid
- Their Starter Kits and E-liquid are affordably priced
- The company has a pretty customer-friendly return policy
- Products have a good throat hit and seem to be well-made
- They don’t carry a ton of different types of products
- Their E-cigs don’t seem to produce a ton of vapour
- The online storefront seems a little bit crammed—making it hard to see exactly what they’re offering (though this is purely cosmetic and not something that would cause me to shop somewhere else)
What products/accessories can be purchased?
First of all, by clicking on the ‘Store’ tab along the in-site menu bar, you can create a dropdown menu that will show you all of the different categories of products that you can choose from. This makes shopping very quick and easy – which is a definite plus in our book!
As far as rechargeable kits go, you’ll quickly find that the primary difference between most of the kits is the flavour of the refill cartridges they come with. Their main ‘rechargeable’ kit seems to come with one rechargeable E-cig, a spare refill tip, and a USB charger. Of course, you can also buy additional refill tips, as well as E-liquid for the EVOD starter kit that they offer on their E-liquid page.
If you’re buying refill tips, I’m afraid that you’re going to be limited in flavour selection to traditional tobacco/menthol flavours and cherry. If you choose to go with the EVOD, however, then you’re going to find many other specialty options to choose from.
You can also buy accessories for your E-cigs, including extra batteries, clearomizers, chargers, and more. They also offer a few starter kits that contain a lot more refills, and some that come with basically two of the smaller starter kits combined – so be sure to browse the entire site before making your choice.
Package and design
I rather liked the packaging on these products. The logo is very trendy, in my opinion – albeit in an ‘earthy’ sort of way, but I found the packaging to be tactful and high in quality. I think that OK Cigs has done a good job in this department.
I also felt that the design of their products was good. Their cig-a-likes, for example, are light-weight and realistic… which will be appreciated by ex-smokers looking for an analog-like experience.
OK Cigs had some pretty compelling user reviews online, so we were able to get a pretty good sense of what customers actually think about their products. The reviews were almost completely positive, which was definitely a good sign. In fact, we heard very few complaints – leading us to believe that OK Cigs really knows what they’re doing. The consensus seemed to be that OK Cigs truly were ‘OK’ but as always, we look forward seeing your feedback too.
The range of product choices on the website could be larger – though in all honesty, I didn’t think of this as a negative because I felt that the choice of products available was well-suited to their target audience. They offered enough to fill their customers’ needs without making the shopping process overwhelming. All in all, I found the product choices to be satisfactory.
If you’re in the market for cig-a-like refills, then you might be disappointed by OK Cig unless you’re specifically looking for tobacco, menthol, or cherry flavours – as these are really the only refill flavours that they have available.
On the other hand, you’ll find quite a bit of variety in their E-liquid line. In addition to more ‘traditional’ flavours, they also offer choices like Green Apple, Caramel, Blueberry, etc.
OK Cigs offers several different nicotine levels in their products, ranging from 0%, to 1.5%, to 3%, on up all the way to their ‘bold’ 4.5%.
About the company
OK Cigs is a company that uses ‘the highest quality ingredients’ and endless testing and trialing to produce premium-quality E-cigs for smokers who want a cleaner, healthier alternative.
Electronic Trading Ltd
2 South Mall
Edmonton Green London
As for their history, OK Cigs got its start in London with a group of smokers who found themselves wishing that smoking cigarettes wasn’t bad for you. They say on the site that they all tried E-cigs, and liked them – but that they felt like they had some problems and needed improvement. This led them to produce what they believed to be the ‘perfect’ electronic cigarette, and that’s where OK Cigs was born.
Value for the money
OK Cigs does offer value for the money. Their products are affordably priced, well-made, and offer plenty of options for new vapers, as well as some options that even more experienced vapers could benefit from making use of. If you’re new to vaping and looking for a great company to get started with, then OK Cigs could definitely be a good option for you.
You can buy 3 refill tips from OK Cigs for £9.98, which is basically the equivalent of 120 cigarettes. You can also buy a 10ml bottle of E-liquid for £4.98. According to the company, this is equivalent to about 100 traditional cigarettes.
In the end, I found OK Cigs to definitely be worth a visit. If you’re new to vaping and need some gear, then they can provide you with what you need at affordable prices – though they don’t seem to compromise on value, either. You might not get the greatest vapour production with their cig-a-likes, though this isn’t necessarily an uncommon thing. Cig-a-likes just don’t possess the battery power to produce the massive amounts of vapour that Egos and APVs can produce, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t enjoy them.
Actually, if you’re used to smoking regular analog cigarettes, then these will probably seem very realistic to you. They even weigh about the same – which is always a nice thing when switching over.
I would definitely recommend that you check out OK Cigs before making your next vaping purchase. You will not be disappointed.
