Technology When Choosing An Electronic Cigarette? No ratings yet.

How Important Is Technology When You’re Choosing An Electronic Cigarette?

Technology has done some incredible things with E-cigs. It’s taken them from crude metal and plastic devices that heat E-liquid-soaked cotton to cutting-edge digital-age wonders. E-cigs today utilize microchips to regulate temperature and vapour production, make use of some of the most powerful batteries on the market, operate with peak efficiency, and even connect to other digital devices.

I was reading an article just the other day about an electronic cigarette that can connect wirelessly to your smart phone. An app measures  how many ‘puffs’ you’ve taken, and then uses this information to calculate how much money you’ve saved, supposed health benefits that you’re probably enjoying, and more.

But how important is technology when you’re shopping for a new electronic cigarette? How ‘advanced’ does it need to be to get the job done? Will you enjoy a simpler device, or are you going to need some ‘bells and whistles’ to make the experience worth it?

 Getting Started

Getting started with E-cigs doesn’t actually require much in the way of ‘new technology’ at all. Of course, buying from any trustworthy manufacturer is going to automatically ensure that you get what you need for an ‘up to date’ vaping experience – but with that being said, there’s really no additional incentive to upgrade unless you want to for a specific reason.

Granted, you don’t want to be stuck with an outdated device – but if you buy a new E-cig from a trusted electronic cigarette manufacturer (especially from one that we have reviewed here on our website), then you’re not really going to have to worry about that. Of course, it can be a lot of fun to connect your phone to your E-cig, and you might even be able to help calculate how much money you’re saving that way -but in the end, it isn’t necessarily ‘required’ for a quality vaping experience.

 What DO you need?

What you really need to get started with vaping is a high quality electronic cigarette. I would actually recommend that you go ahead and start with an Ego, just because Cig-a-likes do have some downsides to them. Egos can be refilled easily, and allow you the opportunity to experience more varied types and flavours of E-liquid.

You’re also going to need a charger and a few other things, depending upon which model you decide to purchase. Buying a starter kit is usually one of the best ways to get the ball rolling. You’ll likely find that purchasing and using your first starter kit will teach you a lot more about E-cigs than you could ever learn from just reading in an article – just because the experience will really open your eyes to what an E-cig can actually do. It will also give you the opportunity to taste different E-liquids and experiment with different E-liquid brands to figure out what you like.

 Don’t Give Up

Finding the right electronic cigarette for you might not be easy. Some people try them once and then give up because they end up having a bad experience – but this problem can almost always be attributed to the fact that they probably just didn’t choose a product that was a good match for them to begin with. There are, after all, literally hundreds (if not thousands) of E-cigs on the market nowadays. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of trial and error to find the device that’s going to work the best for you.

In the end, getting hung up on technology probably isn’t the best idea. Just buy something that seems like it would be a good match for you, and start from there. You’ll likely realize that you’ll have a much better experience then you ever thought possible.
