Vaporfi Vice Review

This is basically a full sub-ohm kit that comes right off-the-shelf with everything you’ll need to get started with sub ohm vaping. Of course, this can be an expensive habit to get into – but the Vaporfi Vice makes it affordable and easy.

Sub ohm vaping is a newer niche within the E-cig industry – so there aren’t that many kits that come ready-made for it. The Vaporfi Vice is unique in that it was especially designed for this.

Needless to say, we were excited to give it a try.

Pros and Cons

Here are the initial pros and cons that we discovered while using/researching the Vaporfi Vice.

  • It’s well-made
  • It produces truly massive clouds of vapor
  • It produces an awesome flavor
  • It’s super-simple and easy to use
  • It offers a lot of value for the money

  • Smaller atomizer soak holes seem to cause dry hits now and then
  • No variable wattage or voltage settings
  • This device is a bit on the expensive side – but to be honest, you’re getting what you pay for!

What’s in the starter kit?

The Vaporfi Vice comes with the vaporizer, a user manual, a USB charger, a mains adapter for the charger (though it’s a US mains plug, not a UK plug), and two extra atomizers – a 0.5ohm and a 1.2 ohm.

The charger has a micro-USB at one end and a regular USB on the other. When the Vice is plugged in, a small red LED will let you know that it’s charging. When it turns white, you’ll know that you’re ready to vape.

The user manual is simple and to the point. This is a fairly easy device to operate – so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting it working once you give the instruction booklet a read-through.

This product has two air holes in it – which are both for safety and to increase the airflow while vaping, which makes drawing air through the vaporizer easier. It also has a few other safety features, like a short-circuit cutoff and an over-heat cutoff.

This vaporizer actually comes complete with everything you need to start vaping – minus the E-liquid. It even comes with an atomizer already installed, so all you need to do is fill it to get started.

The battery that comes with the Vice is a 2200mAh battery. It packs quite a punch, and does a good job of powering the sub-ohm atomizer.

The tank that comes with the Vice has a variable airflow control – which makes it super-easy to customize the draw resistance.

The tank has a 2.5ml capacity – which is pretty good for a sub-ohm tank. I’ve often heard that a 2ml capacity is about the absolute minimum that you would ever want for sub ohm vaping… so it was nice to see Vaporfi go above that with an extra .5 ml of capacity on this tank.

Refilling the tank and replacing the coils is pretty straightforward. Even if you’re not as experienced with vaporizers, you shouldn’t have any problems figuring this device out.

Turning the Vice on is a pretty simple process. You just click it five times to power it up, and then hold down the power button to vape. To turn it off, click it five more times.

  • 2200 mAh battery
  • Product Dimensions: 5-3/8” x 3/4”, including drip tip
  • 50 threading
  • 5ml tank capacity
  • Operating voltage: 3.4-4.2V
  • Contains an adjustable airflow control valve
  • Comes equipped with low voltage/short-circuit protection
  • Minimum resistance: 0.5 ohm
This product uses standard 510 threading.

What we think of this kit

To be honest – we loved this vaporizer. We loved how it looked, how it vaped, how much vapor it produced, and how it felt in-hand. Two thumbs up to Vaporfi for developing such a well-rounded, off-the-shelf sub ohm vaporizer.

If you’re looking to get started with sub ohm vaping and are looking for simple, basic kit to get you up and moving in a good direction, then I would definitely recommend that you try the Vaporfi Vice. It offers a lot of value for the money, and does an awesome job of providing a sub-ohm vaping experience without breaking your budget.

Appearance and Feel

The cardboard box that this product comes in seems pretty basic. On the back of the box, you’ll find a full rundown of the contents – which is awesome.

Opening the box reveals the vaporizer – which is actually very attractive. It seems solid and well-constructed. The stainless steel finish is quite nice, and gives it a very modern, stylish look.

As far as the feel of the device is concerned, it’s a nice size and fits well in the palm of the hand.

  • Airflow

Airflow on this device can be controlled on the tank. It utilizes a sliding ring that either covers or reveals as much of the air-flow vent as you want. By sliding it back and forth, you can set the airflow to be pretty much whatever you want.

  • Material

This vaporizer is made primarily from stainless steel – so the construction is solid.

  • Ease of Use

This is a super-easy vaporizer to use. It doesn’t even come with variable wattage or voltage settings – meaning that all it really requires is to be filled with E-liquid before you get started.

One possible drawback to this product is the fact that the atomizers that it comes with have smaller soak-holes – which are the holes that allow the E-liquid to soak up into the wick. As a result of this, you need to make sure and wait for a few minutes before vaping after putting E-liquid into the tank for the first time, as you can get a ‘dry vape’ if you try to activate the battery with an insufficient amount of liquid in the atomizer.

This isn’t necessarily a huge problem, because most atomizers require time like this – so Vaporfi definitely isn’t ‘slacking off’ in this department. It just might be nice if the holes were a bit bigger, as this would lessen the chances of a dry hit.

Another possible drawback is the fact that this vaporizer doesn’t have any variable wattage or voltage settings – though, once again, it seems to have been designed to use specific atomizers – so there might not be much of a need to change the voltage or wattage.

Also, it’s a bit on the expensive side – but you also get what you pay for! It’s a no fuss, no hassle device that’s built well and performs as well as anything else out there – so really, you’re getting value for your money with this kit.

Read many good reviews about this so have purchased it just now. Shame that they don’t have a UK website. Extra shipping costs and delay is not what I like!
