Vapouriz One 50W Sub Ohm Kit Review
The biggest highlight of this product is probably the fact that it’s super easy to use.
Vapouriz One 50W Complete Sub Ohm Kit Review
This kit is interesting because it’s an all-inclusive sub ohm kit. We haven’t actually seen a lot of these yet – so naturally, we were excited to get to do some research on it.
There are a ton of starter kits out there nowadays, but most of them aren’t sub ohm, which is what makes the Vapouriz One a unique product.
Sub ohm vaping is becoming more and more popular as people seek to create larger clouds with their E-cig devices – and in this review, we’re going to explore whether or not the Vapouriz One can perform on-par with others in its class.
Pros and Cons
Here are the basic pros and cons that we discovered while researching this product.
- The product is well made and well designed
- It’s made of metal and glass, with only a small bit of plastic
- It’s reasonably priced
- It makes sub ohm vaping easy and affordable
- It’s super-simple to use because it’s a fixed watt device
- It would have been nice to get some extra o-ring seals in the starter kit
- The charging port is on the bottom, so you have to remove the tank before laying it down to charge to avoid risking a leak
What’s in the starter kit?
The starter kit comes with the box mod itself, the tank, a spare atomizer, a bottle of E-liquid, a user manual, and a micro-USB charging cable.
The battery on this device is actually built into it, so you won’t need to bother with charging it externally. To charge it, you simply plug the mod in – and you’re good to go.
Though it looks like plastic at first, we were very pleasantly surprised to find out that the One is actually made from metal – which is awesome. As it is, it seems like it would be difficult to damage or break it, mostly due to its sturdy construction.
This device utilizes a built-in 18650 battery, so you shouldn’t have trouble making it last more than a day on a charge.
The drip tip is plastic on the inside, but it’s encased in a chrome-like casing. It seems pretty well made.
The 0.3Ohm coil works really well with this setup. With the 50W of power supplied by the mod, you’ll get tons of vapor. You definitely won’t need to worry about not having enough power.
The tank is definitely a low-profile tank. It’s nowhere near as large as other similar tanks in its class, but this doesn’t hinder its effectiveness at all. Rather, we were quite impressed with how easy it was to break down, refill, and use.
Filling the tank is pretty straightforward. There are two big gaps down the side where you can squeeze the E-liquid down into it. You’ll need a stopper or a bottle with a nozzle, but that’s really all that’s required to top it off.
If you’re using max VG E-liquid with this device (as you probably will be, since it’s a sub-ohm tank), you’ll definitely want to let it sit and soak up the E-liquid for a bit before you use it. So after refilling it, make it a point to let it sit for 5-10 minutes before you attempt to use it, just to allow the wick to get nice and wet.
- 3 Ohm resistance
- Fixed wattage (50W)
- Built with an ergonomic design for increased comfort
- 2ml capacity
- USB charging cable
What we think of this Kit?
There’s no doubt about it. This is a fantastic kit. If you’re looking to sub-ohm vape, but don’t want to do a bunch of crazy electronic calculations, then this is definitely a product that you’re going to be interested in.
The clouds produced by this box mod are truly incredible. Plus, with the low-cost price tag, it’s really in anyone’s budget range. It’s not super-cheap, but it’s certainly affordable. This entire kit costs less than some sub ohm tanks cost by themselves – but it still performs at an outstanding level!
Appearance and Feel
The packaging is very nice. It’s well-designed and shiny, and reveals the box mod within, which is cool. There’s also a full spec on the back of the box, which is awesome.
Within the box, the presentation is very nice. All of the parts are laid out in a black tray, and are easily accessible whenever you pull the lid off.
The instruction manual is semi-laminated, and seems to do a good job of explaining how to use the device.
The mod itself looks fantastic. It’s impressively designed, and fits well in the palm of the hand. The tilted fire button is also a nice touch. Some devices don’t come with this feature, and a lot of people thought it was a gimmick when devices with ‘tilted’ firing buttons first started coming out – but surprisingly, this makes the E-cig much easier to use.
There are four air-holes located on the bottom of the unit beneath the battery. These are intended to help keep the device (especially the battery compartment) cool and safe. There are also four air ducts in the top, where the tank connects to the battery – which seem to be intended to do the same thing.
The tank also has a variable airflow controller, which is awesome. Not all tanks have a feature like this, so kudos to Vapouriz for including it!
The mod and most of the tank are made of metal. The tank itself is glass, and the mouthpiece is plastic encased in a chrome plating.
- Ease of Use
This is a very easy kit to use. It’s a fixed wattage device, so all you really need to do is charge it, power it up, keep it filled with liquid, and change the coils.
You simply press the firing button five times to turn it on, and then hold it down to fire it. Since it’s a fixed-watt device, you won’t need to worry about setting the wattage or the voltage – which makes it much easier to use for new vapers who want to start sub ohm vaping right away.
The biggest highlight of this product is probably the fact that it’s so easy to use, and that it makes sub-ohm vaping simple – even for beginners.
One possible drawback to this device is the fact that the charging port is on the bottom of the base – which means that you can’t stand it up while it’s charging. Laying your device down when it’s not in use isn’t usually a problem, but it can lead to leaks when the seals in the tank start to get older. So it would have been nice to see the charging port located somewhere else.
Of course, this isn’t a huge problem. You can always just remove the tank and stand it up by itself before charging. It’s really a small detail.
