VIP E-Cig Review

Introduction – VIP E-Cig Review

VIP is an E-cig brand based in Radcliffe, Manchester in the UK. Our initial first impression of the company was a good one. Their products seemed attractive, realistic, and functional… and they offered quite a bit in terms of variety. One thing that stuck out was their prices. Prices on starter kits were very good. In fact, they may be one of the more affordable brands on the market. Their prices on disposables seemed to mirror this as well.

VIP has a fairly distinct style that is more subdued than over the top. They are not particularly modern, nor are they incredibly rugged in a realistic way.

They are sleek, clean, and well-put-together… and they carry enough of a variety that most people will probably not have a problem finding what they are looking for. Their website is also clean and attractive. It is easy to navigate and makes shopping fairly simple.

Pros and Cons

Here are some basic initial pros and cons of VIP E-Cig products.

  • Fairly low prices
  • reat vapour production
  • They offer lots of product options
  • They carry quite a few flavour options

  • Battery life isn’t the best
  • Cartomizer life could be better
  • Some have said that the quality of the flavour isn’t that great
  • Warranty leaves a bit to be desired

What products/accessories can be purchased?

VIP carries quite a few different types of products, ranging from starter kits, to disposable E-cigs, to cartomizer refills, to e-liquid, to accessories. Their entry level E-Cig Standard Starter Kit costs only £10.00, and comes with a blue-tipped rechargeable battery, a USB charger, two cartomizer refills, and a cigarette-style card box. This is the lowest-priced starter kit unless you go with a disposable first just to try out the flavour and the brand. Buying single disposables only costs £3.49, which is also a pretty reasonable price for what you get.

VIP also offers photon kit starter kits, which are basically starter kits that will get you started with an E-go style E-cig. The larger batteries associated with this type of E-cig last much longer than those that come on the minis, though they also look less like an actual cigarette. They can also be larger and more cumbersome to carry around.

Package and Design

Our initial impressing of the packaging on VIP products was good. The packaging is neat and clean, and has the VIP logo tastefully printed on it. The products themselves are also printed with the VIP logo, though it is relatively small and not overdone.

The designs of the products themselves are quite good. Some of them are realistic, while others look a bit more modern. Overall, VIPs products are a bit plain and not overly flashy… though this isn’t intended to be a negative. Rather, it means that, as far as style is concerned, they will probably appeal to a wide range of different types of users.

Battery Performance

Battery performance is one area where VIP falls a bit short. Reviewers and users alike seem to agree that battery life (on the minis, not necessarily the photons) is not what VIP says that it should be, and that extra batteries and a portable charger are definitely going to be needed if you plan on vaping quite a bit over the course of the day. Some have said that you will be lucky to get an hour’s worth of power out of a single mini, though this is not an opinion expressed ‘across the board’. Some don’t seem to have as much of a problem.

VIP E-Cig Batteries

In the end, there is a good chance that you are going to have to invest in a few more batteries if you choose to go with VIP, mostly because they probably won’t stand up in the long-run on those days when you really need more power.

Vapour production

Vapour production on VIP products is said to be very good. Users and reviewers pretty well agree that you will get quite a bit of vapour out of your cartomizers, both with the E-go style products and with the minis. Users also report a quality throat-hit, which is always a good thing.

VIP offers three different categories of flavours on their website for refill cartomizers… tobacco flavours, menthol flavours, and specialist flavours. In tobacco, they offer three flavours; USA Tobacco, British Gold, and Virginia Rolling. In menthol, they offer only one flavour: Double Menthol. In Specialist, they offer six different flavours: Apple, Cherry, Coffee, Mixed Selection (which is like a sampler), Strawberry, and Vanilla.

VIP E-cigs flavour selection

VIP offers quite a few more flavours in the e-liquid category. They offer a total of 33 different e-liquid flavours, ranging from USA Tobacco to Mango, to Amaretto, to Butterscotch, and even to Liquorice. For a full list of their e-liquid flavours, you should check out the official VIP brand website.

Needless to say, we were very impressed with the wide variety of flavour options offered by VIP. One of the great things about E-cigs is that they have an almost unlimited potential for different flavours, and VIP definitely does a great job of embracing this aspect of the product.

Nicotine Levels

VIP offers four basic nicotine strengths: 0%, 1.1%, 1.6%, and 2.4%.

About The Company

VIP is a brand whose aim is to provide a long term smoking alternative to individuals who are either currently smoking analog cigarettes or for those who have recently quit and are looking for a lasting alternative that will help them to kick their tobacco habit for good. VIPs are designed not to plague users with negative and unhealthy side effects.

VIP E-Cig and Must Have Ltd. are located at Unit 14, Dale Street Industrial. Estate, Radcliffe, Manchester, M26 1AD. Extensive feedback from cigarette smokers and additional research went into the development of the VIP product line, which has resulted in the product line that is available today in man retail stores and online.
VIP offers customer support over the phone through the contact page on their website. They also offer an email form that users can fill out and send for product support or information. Some users have said that customer support isn’t the best with this company, though it can admittedly be difficult to provide quality support for a customer base as large as VIPs is. In the end, they are probably no worse than any other large-E-cig company where support is concerned. It is probably a matter of who you actually get on the phone when you call.
VIP offers a 28 day warranty, though this warranty only covers the USB chargers, the wall adaptors, the car chargers, and their batteries. In general, this warranty leaves a bit to be desired, and is not the most ‘customer friendly’ offering that we have seen among E-cig brands.

Value for the money

VIP does offer value for the money. In fact, their products are rather low-cost when compared with other brands. Of course, this lower cost comes at a bit of a price with less battery power and a less than amazing cartomizer life to go with it, but you are still getting a great product that many users find enjoyable and perfectly suitable for their needs. There is an incredibly array of flavours to choose from if you decide to buy an E-go style E-cig, and the vapour production in general on their products is fantastic.

Their products are also built from high-quality components, and they are available in a lot of different retail stores. Buying a VIP brand E-cig will probably not disappoint you. In fact, it could offer you a very cost-effective opportunity to try E-cigs without committing to larger and more expensive kits. The disposables offered by VIP are an especially good deal in this sense.

Running costs

According to VIP, one cartomizer is the equivalent of about 40 normal cigarettes. Of course, reviews have shown that users actually get a bit less (probably closer to the equivalent of 30 cigarettes per cartomizer), so keep this in mind as you do your calculations. The cost of a 5-pack of cartomizers is £8.95. From this information, it is pretty easy to calculate how much money this brand would save you if you were to switch from analog cigarettes to VIPs.

This company definitely offers value for the money, as well as a usable product that can serve as a viable and enjoyable substitute for traditional tobacco-filled cigarettes. They offer a wide variety of products and an incredible array of flavours to choose from. Combine this with great vapour production and low prices, and you get an E-cig brand that should definitely be on your list of brands to consider.

I am sorry but I beg to differ with your comments about VIP. As a customer I have recently had the worst service imaginable given to a customer. I have taken a vow to never ever go anywhere near this company and their products again.

Hi Sajid, I’m sorry to hear that! At a time we did this review, we didn’t find any major problems so our honest opinion was shared. This is why we let users as yourself comment and rate brands and products that we review. Once a specific brand or product has received a selection of bad reviews, we update our review and consider brand / product to be listed on the red list. I hope that you will find a better place to do your online shopping and thanks for sharing this.

Don’t deal with this Cowboy outfit, I have been getting products off them for almost a year, no problems until my last order over 2 week ago..Out of the total order, 3 items missing, 2 e-liquids 10ml instead of 30ml that I had payed for. About £20 out of a £72 order. I’ve sent pictures of items received etc. but they completely ignore enquiries. Got to be the worst company I have dealt with for years. KEEP AWAY FROM VIPCIG.COM!
