What Is Variable Voltage?

If you are researching variable voltage vapourizers, then there is a good chance that you are either displeased with how your current E-cig is functioning or are getting even more interested in vaping in general and want to find out all that you can about the different options available to you.

Either way, it is not surprising that this had led you to researching variable voltage E-cigs… also known as advanced personal vapourizers.

The big advantage of variable voltage, of course, is that it allows you to control the amount of vapour produced by your E-cig by giving you control of the voltage used to atomize it. Most E-cig minis and other non-adjustable electronic cigarettes do not offer this type of control, as their battery is set to vapourize at a single, non-adjustable voltage pre-determined by the battery and the element in the atomizer.

Variable voltage vapourizers, however, make this process adjustable by getting between the battery and the atomizer and allowing you to change this voltage. The result is a higher-priced product with increased functional variability… but is this device going to be a good choice for you?

Is Variable Voltage Vaping for You?

This is a great question. To begin with, advanced personal vapourizers are not generally recommended to E-cig users who have just started vaping, for a few different reasons.

For one, they are much more expensive than regular non variable E-cigs. This increased cost is much more difficult to justify if you have not tried E-cigs and decided that they will, in fact, be something that you will continue to use.

Secondly, beginning vapers will likely not know how to use advanced personal vapourizers. It takes some time and experience to determine what you do or don’t like specifically about vapour production, but being able to adjust this from the very beginning might be overwhelming to new E-cig users. When you start vaping, you are usually focused on the process itself, on the products, on the flavour of the vapour, and also on the amount and quality of the vapour as well.

Once you understand what voltage your current E-cig is operating at and whether or not you really like it, then you will definitely be well on your way to being more ready for variable voltage.

Are you at a point where you know that vaping is for your, but are unhappy with the results obtained from cheaper E-cig minis and non-adjustable models? Do you find yourself wishing that you could simply adjust voltage to get better vapour production out of your E-cig? If so, then odds are very good that you have moved beyond the beginner level and are now an intermediate vaper… making it the perfect time to consider trying variable voltage.

Before Using A Variable Voltage Vapourizer

Before purchasing and/or using a new variable voltage E-cig, there are definitely a few things that you should keep in mind. First, it is always a good idea to do some research and to try to learn about voltages before getting started. Using too much voltage on smaller elements, for example, can burn out your elements and cause problems. Make sure that you do your homework and that you don’t start adjusting the voltage until you know for sure that you are adjusting within the proper parameters.

It is also important to buy the right clearomizers/cartomizers for your variable voltage E-cig. This is usually simply a matter of getting onto the maker’s website and purchasing the right thing… but it is important because it will ensure that the device is going to function correctly.

Is Variable Voltage Worth The Money?

To put it simply, variable voltage is definitely worth the money… though it might not be for everyone. If you are thrilled with your current device and see no need for a variable voltage model, than odds are good that you are not really missing anything by not buying one. If, however, you simply feel like your current device is not performing up to par and that you are missing out on better vapour production that could enhance your experience, then variable voltage may be a feature that you are indeed missing out on.

Advanced personal vapourizers are generally a bit more expensive than traditional-styled E-cigs, but they can be a great investment if you plan on vaping long-term. They still offer all of the incredible benefits that any other E-cigs offer, including a lower cost than traditional tobacco-filled cigarettes. In fact, one of the best things about APVs is that you don’t usually need to buy disposable cartomizers like you do with the minis. Generally, you just buy refill e-liquid, which is even cheaper than cartomizers.
