Why Vaping Will One Day Replace Smoking
Why Vaping Will One Day Replace Smoking
Electronic cigarettes have never been so popular. The statistics are everywhere. They’re all over the news. Vape shops are popping up everywhere – even in small communities. And for communities without one, there are hundreds to choose from online.
If you live in the UK or the US (or almost anywhere else in the world), then odds are good that you’re going to be able to get your hands on an E-cig. And when you do, there’s a good chance that you’re going to like it.
But why are E-cigs catching on? What’s so great about them? Why would people ever choose to vape an electronic cigarette over smoking a tobacco cigarette?
These are some fantastic questions – and as it turns out, the answers might not surprise you!
E-cigs are actually pretty cool. They offer a lot of benefits, and actually have more to offer than regular cigarettes ever did. In fact, with so much to offer, many people are claiming that the day might not be far off in which E-cigs replace tobacco cigarettes altogether. It might take years, but the trends suggest that this definitely isn’t an impossibility.
So what could ever cause E-cigs to replace analog cigarettes?
Here are 5 reasons that doubtlessly contribute to the possibility.
Cigarettes aren’t cheap – but E-cigs are. Of course, you generally need to spend a bit of money buying a pen or a device – but once you’ve done this, you can just buy e-liquid and refill it yourself. Most statistics seem to indicate that vaping is 70 to 80 percent cheaper than smoking – and this no-doubt plays a role in the habit’s popularity.
They deliver nicotine more efficiently
With E-cigs, you can actually choose how much nicotine you’re getting. You can even choose to vape a ‘zero nicotine’ liquid if you’re trying to overcome an addiction to it. Cigarettes, however, don’t offer this option. They’re just far less efficient – no matter how you look at it.
They don’t create smoke
E-cigs may produce vapour that you can inhale – but they don’t produce smoke, and there is a big difference between the two. The chemicals, tar, and ash in tobacco have been shown to be very, very unhealthy (have you ever seen a picture of a smoker’s lung?), and cigarettes raise your risk of health problems significantly when it comes to many deadly diseases and conditions – including lung cancer.
Vaping might not be as studied – but nobody is saying that they are anywhere near as bad. Even those who oppose the habit will admit that it’s probably not as bad as smoking. There may be some long-term unknowns – but overall, they’ve been shown to be much safer and less dangerous.
E-cigs are cool! Cigarettes used to be – but in all honesty, that might not last much longer. As young people are educated and grow up with a more mature attitude about tobacco use, there’s a possibility that they’re going to be more and more critical of cigarettes – and this may very well lead to cigarettes becoming less common. Tobacco use is already on the decline, and this trend will likely continue – perhaps giving way to electronic cigarettes completely over the course of the next few decades.
E-cigs are sleek, modern, and usually light up with cool blue, red, white, or green lights. They’re definitely becoming more stylish and accepted as time goes on, and people tend to be pretty impressed by them when they’re spotted ‘out on the town’.
Of course, this isn’t a reason to vape – but maybe it’ll play a significant role in the future and give electronic cigarettes another advantage over their analog counterparts.
They work very, very well
E-cigs are, for all intents and purposes, ‘well-oiled machines’ (pun intended) in comparison to their tobacco-filled predecessors. Cigarettes contain a ton of chemicals and are burnt up when used – while E-cigs use technological efficiency to vapourize replaceable E-liquid at the perfect temperature. You can even change the temperature of the vapourization process by changing either the coil or the voltage used – which is something that you could never do with analog cigarettes.
E-cigs might not be as popular as cigarettes yet – but they’re gaining ground, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that they’re probably on their way to the top and here to stay. What do you think?
